Amazing Azaleas

It’s May Day!  And how could you celebrate best but with flowers!  I’ve been thinking about last spring at this time when we visited Vancouver Island.  All the azaleas were in bloom and it was spectacular.  Thus...out came this Azalea set I love so much.

A really fun one where you put your scissors to work.  I coloured up the blooms with Copics and then cut the branch out.  Then I added some of the blooms on the branch *popped up*, and then bridged the flowers over the gap I created with the Spellbinders Curved border die.

In the peach area of the gap I used my embossing paste over the Tim Holtz Gothic stencil, and then accented with some lace.  The pretty sentiment is from Power Poppy’s Big Scripts set, that I’m also so enamoured with.    I stamped it in Pear Tart, and then came back with my YG61 and YG63 markers to give it some depth along the bottom.

Simply lovely!

Here’s the Copics I used.

Pop on over to the Power Poppy Blog and see the winner from last month’s challenge and more details about the Cut It Out Challenge this month.  We hope you can join us and enter for your chance to win!

Here’s the Bloom Brigade playing along today....
